Suitable for: Hypertensives, CKD, Post transplant.


  • Rice: 1 small katori,
  • Tomato, chopped: 3/4th katori,
  • Chillies, red, dried: 1/4th katori,
  • Garlic cloves:  4-5 in no,
  • Oil: 1 ½ tsp,
  • Salt: from prescribed daily allowance,
  • Cumin seeds (Jeera): 1 tsp,
  • Asafetida: 1/4th tsp,
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4th tsp,
  • Red chilli powder: ½ tsp.

  • Wash rice and allow it to boil in water till it is cooked. Drain water and keep it aside.
  • Take oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • Now add asafetida, tomato, red chilies and garlic cloves.
  • Now add cooked rice, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
  • Serve hot.
